| Princeton to Improve Community Signage |
September 2011
The Town of Princeton has partnered with Thompson Rivers University (TRU) tourism program and CTQ Consultants to produce new sign guidelines and designs for wayfinding and public building signs.
Having successfully partnered with TRU in completing a signage "audit" in 2010, town council has engaged TRU to complete new sign guidelines and signage design to assist residents and visitors in finding parks, facilities and places of interest throughout the Town. Developing a standard will also ensure people can find things and provide a consistent look and branding of our community. CTQ Consultants has been engaged to provide the expertise in urban planning and design. Created in 2003, CTQ has become one of the most respected consulting companies in BC specialising in Engineering, Planning and Urban Design. Although the firm is relatively new, their depth of experience and expertise is significant. The engineering, planning and design team is comprised of many professionals with over 20 years of experience. The guidelines and design will provide the templates for new signage that would be produced starting in 2012. Funding for this initiative is provided by the Thompson Okanagan Tourism Association. |
